About me

How can I describe myself? Well, I guess I'm what you call eurasian... half Chinese, half British/Irish. I'm a mummy to two cheeky little munchkins who have multiple food allergies. My blog started years ago before I had children and has evolved in to mostly recipes for the free from allergy friendly foods I'm kind of forced to make because I can barely buy anything straight from the shops for my two kids.

3 things I cannot live without (after my hubby and daughters of course):
  1. My iphone
  2. My SLR
  3. Coffee
My philosophy... think positive and attract the positive. Keep perspective, be thankful for what you have, strive to gain what you don't, never have regrets, only experiences you learn from, and hold no grudges.... what goes around comes around.
    So, why scrambled eggs and mashed bananas I hear you ask! The nickname for a white person who loves asian culture is an egg (white on the outside, yellow on the inside) and a westernised asian person is a banana. I'm mixed race so a bit of both, hence scrambled eggs and mashed bananas! The ironic thing is that now I have kids with egg allergy, I actually replace egg with mashed bananas in all my recipes, so the blog name has even more relevance now! Who would have predicted that!??
